In this post, I’ve collected the essential gear and tools that make grilling easier, regarless of the equipment you’re grilling on (kettle grill, Komodo-style grill, pellet grill, hearth, etc). Lots of these things can be seen on the table behind me in the photo below.

I tend to be pretty minimal in what I use at the grill. In fact, after building my outdoor fireplace, I held back from purchasing anything specific for it until I had played around with it for a couple of months and got a better idea of how I’d use it and what I truly needed. If an item has made it onto this list, I promise you it’s not superfluous and it’s been tested by me.
