You have no idea how bady I wanted to get this published for you whilst on the plane to SXSW, but a 90-minute delay in NYC and the WiFi gods of cruising altitude had other plans.
Last night’s panel was a treat to host.
Ali Slagle and are both recipe creators, obviously, but the way they approach their work is wildly different.Ali has worked for numerous publishers in books, magazines, newspapers, and digital, and has written her own cookbook, as well. She also works on other people’s cookbooks and recipes, which has made her become very adept at switching between myriad writing styles. She gets deep into the perspective of the home cook, and stays there. She even confessed to agonizing over the difference between “a bit of butter” and “some butter” while editing a recent recipe.
