Hello!
Last night’s panel was a DREAM. So much thanks to Zan Goodman for holding it down with me, and for the thoughtful questions and feedback from everyone who could make it. I had no idea there were so many other 1000-lb. Sisters fans out there!
I got some great questions about ingredients and how to call for them, and that topic is huge. Frankly, it deserves its own post and thread. Working on that.
In the meantime, I’ll leave you with this hilarious onion rant from the brilliant
.The goal for this week is to identify the first dish you’d like to develop. If you came into this with a recipe that’s already written up, you can jump straight into design and formatting.
Below, you’ll find some visual assets and examples that can help you frame your original recipe creation. I’m also sharing a link (below) to a completely stripped-down template in Google Docs that you can customize as you see fit. Logos, fonts, colors, sizes—play around! This is a great starting point if you don’t want to have to remember what elements “belong” in a recipe. If anyone else wants to share a template for this group, that’s what working together is all about.
There are many other sources of visual recipe inspo on the workshop chat. If you haven’t added a favorite recipe there, get one in there! Or, just browse the uploads from your workshop comrades. Lots of really good ones from many different perspectives.
The Recipe Development Workshop is for paid subscribers of Food Processing, at any tier! If this topic excites you, please consider upgrading your plan. Details on the workshop and how to sign up can be found here.
