This is the horchata of my dreams! It is so so good!! Thank you for sharing this recipe with us 🙏
For anyone reading the recipe instructions thinking “do I really have to blend it for that long?!?”, the answer is yes, you really do!
The first time I made this I only blended for a couple minutes and even with a Vitamix, the result had great flavor but an unpleasant gritty texture. So don’t make the mistake I did and just follow the instructions! 😋 The end result is so much creamier and smoother!
I was having issues with mine getting quite warm, quite fast, so I had to put it in the fridge for a while. And I’m worried I didn’t blend enough, or my blender isn’t strong enough? If it separates rather quickly and also is kind of chalky, is that a sign I should blend more??
On Monday I had one of these at a restaurant and decided it should be the drink of the summer. And then your recipe came! ❤️❤️

Thank you! As someone who “went for it” with cooked long grain it was not bad! Looking forward to trying it the right way with uncooked.

Can I use a medium or short grain rice?
yes, it will work as long as it’s white rice and not “converted” or parboiled
Can you make this with cooked jasmine rice or does it need to start uncooked?
uncooked!
